  • Why We Collect It: We gather this information to provide you with the best products and services. Some details are optional, but if you choose not to provide certain information, we may not be able to offer you the full range of services or update you on the products you’ve purchased.
  • Your Rights: You’re always in control of your information. If you’d like to request a copy of your personal details or make any corrections, please contact us using the details below.

Product Assessment and Returns

We want to make sure you're completely satisfied with your purchase. Here’s what you can expect if you have an issue with a product:

  • Easy Returns & Exchanges: With proof of purchase and a clear fault, we’ll offer a refund, exchange, or repair depending on the issue and whether it can be easily fixed.
  • Manufacturer’s Warranty: For new products covered by a manufacturer’s warranty, we may contact the supplier to replace or repair the item under warranty. Please allow 5–7 working days.
  • Uncertain or Complex Issues: If the fault is difficult to determine or unsafe to assess in-store, we’ll consult the manufacturer or a specialist and keep you updated.

After assessment by the supplier, outcomes may include:

  • No fault found
  • Damage due to misuse or negligence
  • Issue can be fixed within a reasonable time
  • Significant fault: you may choose to reject the product or seek compensation for any loss in value

If there’s no fault or there’s misuse: you may be charged assessment and transport costs. Refunds or exchanges aren’t available in these cases, though paid repairs may still be possible.

Terms & Conditions

  • Responsibility: We’re not responsible for loss of data, software, or hardware during repairs, nor third-party misuse.
  • Aftermarket/Third-Party Parts: We typically use aftermarket/third-party parts unless you request other options.
  • Warranty: Repairs include a 3-month parts warranty; excludes physical or liquid damage.
  • iPhones: Features like Touch ID, Face ID, or waterproofing may not function after screen replacement.
  • Payment: Full payment is required before device return. Devices unpaid 30+ days after completion notice are considered abandoned and ownership transfers to NZ Phone Repairs.
  • Data Backup: Please back up your data before service. We’re not liable for data loss or third-party issues.
  • Device Pickup: Bring the original service job form or valid photo ID.
  • Water Resistance: Water-resistant ratings may not remain after opening a device.

Invoice & Warranty Details

  • 3-Month Warranty: Return-to-base warranty on repairs and parts used for their intended purpose. Physical damage, liquid damage, and power surges aren’t covered (contact your insurer).
  • Liquid Damage: We can attempt repairs but provide no warranty for liquid damage. Bringing your device within 24–48 hours improves success rates; insurance claims are often best.
  • Item Storage: Devices unpaid, uncollected, or with quotes pending for 90+ days will be recycled; NZ Phone Repairs is no longer liable after that point.

Refund & Returns Policy

  • Change of Mind: We don’t offer refunds for change of mind.
  • Warranty: Products and repairs have a 90-day warranty against manufacturing defects (excludes physical or liquid damage).
  • Defective Products: If a manufacturing defect occurs within the warranty period, we’ll repair or replace as appropriate. For online accessory purchases, we’ll replace the item.
  • Return Shipping: Customers cover return shipping; you can also bring items in-store during business hours.
